This Craftsman style bed is the first real piece of furniture that I made. I had never built a bed before, though I did make several after this. It is made of solid maple and cherry, finished with tung oil and paste wax. I was inspired by a picture of a bed like this in Fine Woodworking magazine. No plans, just a picture. This bed is more than 25 years old by now and I still like the way it looks.
